I’m so excited to share the second half of my two-part conversation with Michael McNeal. (If you missed part one, be sure to listen to it here!) In this episode, we continue our conversation about neuro-inflammation, mold, parasites, and more. Michael and I really get into the topics and I think you’ll find lots of great takeaways!
Michael’s story includes a traumatic brain injury, type 2 diabetes, and Tourette’s syndrome at a young age. Through a dedicated journey, he has overcome those struggles and now leads others to hope and healing. Michael is a certified holistic health coach specializing in diabetes, mold, parasites, lyme, detoxification, and more. He also is a Cellcore Practitioner, which is how he and I originally connected!
In part two, Michael and I talk about neuro-inflammation, mold, heavy metals, the order in which to heal, and how trauma impacts our health. I know you’ll leave this one more inspired in your own health journey!

Things to Remember
1) Females are more prone to mold, candida, and other similar issues. Did you know this?! It’s quite fascinating, but Michael and I see this in our clients. Often females deal with more complexity due to hormone fluctuation and cyclical sensitivity.
2) Things may be common, but they are not normal. We accept issues as normal and slap bandaids on them, when there are root causes and underlying issues that need to be addressed. Like Michael touched on, living with brain fog, fatigue, immune cells that don’t function well, and more are areas in which we can actually find healing.
3) The order of healing brings homeostasis. It’s critical to follow an order in the detoxing and healing process. And if there’s anything Michael and I could encourage you with, it’s to find someone who can help you get it all into order. After all, throwing things at your body in the dark to see what may work is not a good idea. You may create an imbalance that will inhibit your healing. (Danielle Hively and I talk more about this in Episode 9 here!)
4) Sometimes the trauma prison is the only place we feel normal. While most clients can go back to a point in their history where they experienced trauma, rarely have any of us slowed down enough to face the collective traumas in our lives. Going through trauma work takes energy, and this is where community is so important. Others can listen and hold space as we work through past experiences.
5) It takes time to become toxic, and it is going to take time to heal. Give yourself space and time to walk on this journey. Don’t be fooled by the portrayal that someone else has “arrived.” Everyone has to walk through seasons and healing.
The Wellness Wrap-Up
A new rhythm, perspective, or change you’ve made in your life to achieve a life that’s more wholly well.
Michael shares that his newest daily routine is using a tuning fork! While you may or may not be familiar with this, there’s a lot of research that shows how frequency nourishes the body and how sound can heal the body. Listen in for more of the experience he shares!
